OVERVIEW
The Department of Prayer and Protection
is my initiative to involve parent, grandparent and
spiritual parent in the battle over our children’s lives.
The enemy desires to destroy them even before they get
started. We have organized the D.P.P. to meet this
challenge. At the current rate only 4% of this generation
will know the Lord as Savior. Unless we get active in this
battle we will lose this generation to the world. Your help
is a MUST if we are going to see this generation won. I
make no apologies about the urgency I put on this. I am not
overstating my concern or use it as a tool to get people
involved. As Ron Luce of Teen Mania said “We are in the
middle of a war and we are losing”. We have a list of
student to be prayed for but we will not put that on the
internet. See Pastor Joey for a copy.
MISSION STATEMENT
The Department of Prayer and Protection
exists to organize parents, grandparents and church members
in prayer that provides spiritual covering and divine
protection while binding the enemy and opening doors of
ministry.
FOUR ASPECTS OF OUR
MISSION
Spiritual Covering
Our prayers can act as a covering over our
our students. This covering sheds worldly
thinking and ungodly mindsets like an
umbrella sheds water.
Divine Protection The enemy would love nothing
more than to destroy our teenagers. He
attacks them from all angles using many weapons. Our prayers
act as armor to stop these attacks from destroying them.
Binding the Enemy
We can hinder attack from the enemy before
they are used. Our prayers will confuse and
render useless the enemy's weapons.
Open Doors of Ministry We believe
our students are the best tools
in God's hand to reach their friends. We
are praying our students will have open
doors of ministry.
HOW ARE WE
GOING TO ACCOMPLISH THIS?
Part of this packet is a list of students
in which we have an ongoing growing relationship. We will pray
over the list using the four aspects listed above as a guide.
The list is to be prayed through at least once every week. We
will pray for them understanding…
Our student’s minds are a place of attack.
They are being bombarded in every direction with worldly
thinking and ungodly mindsets. Their schools teach and operate
on the incorrect philosophy that there is no God. Their music
and television reflect this same philosophy. We are praying for
a protective spiritual covering over them. We pray that those
wrong philosophies will be exposed and denied.
Their lives are being targeted by the
enemy. He has attacked the family, values, beliefs and even God
Himself. These attacks are design to confuse the faith of our
students. The enemy tries to undermine and destroy their
relationship with God. Temptation is used to distract them from
their relationship with God and sin is used to separate them
from God. We are praying that the enemy’s attacks are stopped
before they reach our students.
The weapons the enemy is trying to launch
at our students can be stopped before they are even used. Our
prayers have the power to confuse and frustrate the plans of the
enemy. We are praying that every time the enemy dares to attack
one of our students it is used by God as a way to reach their
friends.
The best opportunity we have to reach this
generation is our students. We believe God desires to use
them. We will pray that God will open doors of ministry giving
them divine appointments and opportunities to reach their peers.
The D.P.P. will have a blog for students to
post specific needs and prayer request. Access for this blog
will be through the ARK website. By placing their prayer
request on the blog the student can have others join them in
prayer.
URGENT PRAYER NEED
This generation is looking for examples of
God’s principles being lived out. We must pray for two aspects
of our youth ministry. One that God will place in our students
a great desire for Him and that this desire is carried out by
growing in their relationship with Him and knowledge of Him. We
must also pray for our services. Only a divine encounter with
God will undo the mess that satan has already placed in their
lives. They face hurts, troubles, and circumstances we may
never had to think about much less be worried about. They are
being devastated and are looking for answers. We know the
answer, so pray our services will be places of divine encounters
with God.
FRIENDSHIP EVANGELISTIC CHALLENGE PRAYER PARTNER
Our students are going to be asked to use
the Friendship Evangelistic Challenge to reach their friends.
Prayer is a big part of this evangelistic effort. It requires
that they find prayer partners to pray for the salvation of
their unsaved friends. We need people willing to partner with
our students. For more information on the Friendship

REMEMBER THESE KEY VERSE WHILE PRAYING
James 5:16
16 Therefore, confess your sins to one
another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed.
The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of
fortresses

17 "No weapon that is formed against you
